People of the Resurrection,

“Alleluia!”

It is the time for resurrection and the celebration of the Easter miracle!

Unlike the Christmas season, which seems to start much too early and ends abruptly on December 26, Easter comes only after the Lenten walk to the Cross. As such, our reflective passage through Holy Week enables us to truly appreciate the joy and wonder that emanates from an open tomb on a morning long ago. Jesus’ resurrection is the on-going gift of God’s love and is present in each and every moment of our lives. Paralleling the beginning of spring’s new life, we breathe fresh air and consider the eternal breath of life promised to us in Easter.

Believing in Jesus, the Risen Christ, is more magnificent than the crocus, tulips or daffodils popping through the recently thaw ground. Heralding beauty and marvels, which oftentimes seem unimaginable, is only a small part of God’s mystery and continuing gift. As the warmth of spring continues to open up the joys of nature, be constantly attuned to the One who came to give each of us life beyond our greatest imaginings both now and in the promised hereafter.

Joyous Easter greetings! “Alleluia!”

Blessings,
Barry
