We meet most Sunday evenings at Greendale People’s Church. The rest of the time is pretty flexible, so if you want to know what we’re up to, ask for a schedule. Usually we eat together and then hang out in the church’s. If we’re going to hang out somewhere else instead, we’ll tell you if you want us to.
You might not be too sure about church, but we’re pretty sure you’re spiritual, and we’d like to join you on your spiritual journey. We can all learn something from each other. We want to provide guidance, commitment and a sense of spirituality to you if you’re a teen, whether you go to church or not.
Our Sunday meetings include some or all of the following:
- What’s Up? - Updates from you.
- Life Issues - Life and spirituality collide and coincide.
- Games and Recreation - Because we’re not always serious. Seriously.
- Community Commitment - We’re not just about ourselves; let’s help our neighbors.
- Activities - Day trips and fundraisers and going to see each other’s plays and concerts and sporting events.
We provide a safe environment for all youth. Any adults leading the group have had security background checks and are skilled leaders.
We are a smoke-free, alcohol-free and sexual harassment-free environment.
We can provide community service to the local Greendale and greater Worcester community through clothing- and food-drives, minor yard work, and other activities We live out our spirituality by serving meals, helping during Coffee Fellowship, greeting before services and mentoring younger children in the church and community.
In the summer we don’t have regular Sunday meetings, but we still manage to get together to hang out, by helping out at GPC’s Camp Selah and by going to Conference Camp before the school year starts back up in September.
